As they work together to stop Alyssa’s father, Roger, from getting married to the horrible Clarisse, their improbable friendship takes off. Both Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen give faultless performances, giving a certain charm to each of their parts. A fun and enjoyable family film, the narrative is full of humor, adventure, and insightful life lessons. The timeless feel-good song “It Takes Two” gave me a wide grin.
